ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਤ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ॥
gurmukh man nirmal sat sar naavai.
Immaculate and pure is the mind of the Gurmukh, who bathes in the Pool of Truth.
ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
mail na laagai sach samaavai.
No filth attaches to him; he merges in the True Lord.
ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਦਾ ॥੪॥
sacho sach kamaavai sad hee sachee bhagat darirhaa-idaa. ||4||
He truly practices Truth forever; true devotion is implanted within him. ||4||

A heart that bathes in what is true comes out clean and clear.
Nothing heavy sticks to it, and it settles into the One, with true devotion planted firmly inside.
Bathing your heart in truth leaves nothing heavy stuck to it.
The Pool of Truth is bathed in inwardly, distinct from ritual bathing. Devotion is implanted, made steady, dridh.
