ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ॥

ਮੂਰਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥
moorakh anDhaa tat na pachhaanai.
The blind fool does not recognize the essence of reality.
ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੩॥
aapay karay karaa-ay kartaa aapay bharam bhulaa-idaa. ||13||
The Creator Himself acts, and inspires all to act; He Himself deludes with doubt. ||13||

Even the great old books cannot map the edges of the One, because there are none.
A heart still clouded misses the heart of things, but the same Maker who lets doubt cloud us can also clear it away.
