ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਸੋਈ ॥
aapay kartaa sabhnaa kaa so-ee.
He Himself is the Creator of all.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
jis no aap bujhaa-ay boojhai ko-ee.
Only one whom He instructs, understands Him.
ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਦਾ ॥੮॥
aapay bakhsay day vadi-aa-ee aapay mayl milaa-idaa. ||8||
He Himself forgives, and grants glorious greatness. He himself unites in His Union. ||8||

The One made everyone and everything. Understanding dawns in a person when the One awakens it in them.
The One lets go of our stumbles, lifts us up, and draws us close.
Understanding is less something you achieve and more something that wakes up in you.
Only the one the One instructs (bujhaaidaa) understands. Forgiveness and greatness are the One's to give — a gentle theme of grace and second chances rather than earned merit.
