Verse 2 of 16

When the Flow Feels Sweet

gurmukh tayraa bhaanaa bhaavai.
Your Will is pleasing to the Gurmukh.
sehjay hee sukh sach kamaavai.
Practicing Truth, he intuitively finds peace.
bhaanay no lochai bahutayree aapnaa bhaanaa aap manaa-idaa. ||2||
Many long to walk in harmony with the Lord's Will; He Himself inspires us to surrender to His Will. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

To the one turned toward the Guru, Your way feels good — welcome, not a burden. Living truthfully, they settle into an easy peace.

Many people long to walk in step like this, and it is the One who awakens that yes inside us.

When you stop fighting the flow, it begins to feel less like a rule and more like a gift.
The deeper layer

To the Gurmukh, the Will feels sweet rather than imposed. In the last words — aapnaa bhaanaa aap manaaidaa — the One itself awakens the willingness (manaaidaa) in us; even our yes is a gift.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you resist that might feel different if you welcomed it?
