Sikhism·Raag Maaroo·Shabad 123
Verse 3 of 16

Saying Yes and Being Held

tayraa bhaanaa mannay so milai tuDh aa-ay.
One who surrenders to Your Will, meets with You, Lord.
jis bhaanaa bhaavai so tujheh samaa-ay.
One who is pleased with Your Will is immersed in You.
bhaanay vich vadee vadi-aa-ee bhaanaa kiseh karaa-idaa. ||3||
Glorious greatness rests in God's Will; rare are those who accept it. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The one who gladly accepts Your way comes home to You. Whoever finds Your way beautiful melts right into You.

There is a quiet greatness in flowing with life, though only a few take it in.

Saying yes to the flow is itself a quiet kind of greatness.
The deeper layer

Accepting the Will is meeting and merging with the One. The vadiaaee (greatness) hidden in the Will is available to all but taken in by few — not because it is scarce, but because we are slow to open.

A Question to Sit With

When has accepting something you could not change brought you unexpected peace?
