Calling out, "Guru, Guru", I have found eternal peace; my consciousness is focused on the Guru's feet. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The True One already lives in the mind of every single person — no exceptions.
By the Guru's grace, people settle into the True One with ease. Calling "Guru, Guru," I have found a peace that stays, my heart resting at the Guru's feet.
The same Truth lives in everyone, and turning toward it brings lasting calm.
sabhnaa means in all — the True dwells in every mind, not a chosen few. The refrain gur gur karat (continually turning toward the Guru) is naam simran, glad and repeated remembrance, framed here as the doorway into a settled peace rather than a striving.
A Question to Sit With
If the same Truth lives in everyone, how might that change the way you see a stranger?
