The One Who Knows Your Ache

The One who knows the anguish of all beings
tis saahib kai ha-o kurbaanai.
- unto that Lord and Master, I am a sacrifice.
tis aagai jan kar baynantee jo sarab sukhaa kaa daanee hay. ||4||
Offer your prayers to the One who is the Giver of all peace and joy. ||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One knows the ache inside every living thing.

To that Master I give my whole self. Bring your prayers to the One, the Giver of every peace.

The One already knows the ache you carry, even the hidden kind.
The deeper layer

jeeaa kee vaydan jaanai — the One knows the anguish of all beings. This is compassionate knowing, not distant judgment. The counsel is to bring your prayer (baynantee) to the Giver of all peace and joy, who already understands.

A Question to Sit With

Does it help to know that your quiet hurts are already understood?
