Serve the True Guru day and night forever.

Without the True Guru, the faithless cynics rot away and die. The noose of Death is around the necks of those who have no guru. ||11||

Listen, grabbing heart of mine: serve the Guru, day and night, always.
Without the Guru, those who turn away from the One waste away. Whoever has no Guru stays caught in Death's loop.
Serve the Guru day and night, and the grabbing heart is set free.
ray man lobhee — a gentle word to one's own grabbing heart. satgur sayv din raat — serve the Guru day and night. bin satgur — without the Guru, the saakat (one turned away from the One) wears away, and the niguray (those with no Guru) stay caught in jam faasaa, the loop of Death.
A Question to Sit With
What does your heart grab for that you could hold more loosely?
