Sikhism·Raag Maaroo·Shabad 132
Verse 10 of 17

Set Up and Let Go in a Breath

karahi bhagat ar rang apaaraa.
Your devotees worship You with infinite love.
khin meh thaap uthaapanhaaraa.
In an instant, You establish and disestablish.
bhaaro tol bay-ant su-aamee hukam man bhagteejaa hay. ||10||
Your weight is so heavy, O my infinite Lord and Master. Your devotees surrender to the Hukam of Your Command. ||10||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Those who love You love without limit.

In a single breath You set worlds up and let them go. You are beyond all measuring — and those who love You simply rest in the flow of Your way.

The One is beyond measuring, so the loving heart just rests in the flow.
The deeper layer

karahi bhagat ar rang apaaraa — the devotees worship with limitless love. khin meh thaap uthaap — the One creates and dissolves in an instant. bhaaro tol bay-ant — immeasurable weight. The devotees bhagteejaa — rest in and surrender to the hukam, the flow.

A Question to Sit With

When is it a relief to stop measuring and just trust the flow?
