Verse 15 of 16

The Rare, Blessed Ones

aisaa ko vadbhaagee aa-i-aa.
Rare are those few, very blessed people, who come into the world,
aath pahar jin khasam Dhi-aa-i-aa.
and meditate on their Lord and Master, twenty-four hours a day.
tis jan kai sang tarai sabh ko-ee so parvaar saDhaaranaa. ||15||
Associating with such humble people, all are saved, and their families are saved as well. ||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Rare is the blessed person who comes into the world

and remembers the Master all day and all night.

Near such a person, everyone is carried across, and their family is saved too.

Near one who remembers the One day and night, everyone is carried across.
The deeper layer

Rare are the vadbhaagee, the deeply fortunate, who remember the One aath pahar — around the clock. Near them all cross over, and whole families are uplifted. The good-hearted lift not just themselves but everyone near them.

A Question to Sit With

Who lifts the whole room just by being in it?
