Beyond All Measuring

oochay tay oochaa darbaaraa.
The Lord's Court is the highest of the high.
kahan na jaa-ee ant na paaraa.
His limit and extent cannot be described.
gahir gambheer athaah su-aamee atul na jaa-ee ki-aa minaa. ||13||
The Lord and Master is profoundly deep, unfathomable and unweighable; how can He be measured? ||13||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One's presence is the highest of the high.

No one can describe where it ends, because it does not.

Deep, still, and boundless — how could anyone ever weigh or measure such a One?

The One is deep and boundless — beyond anything you could weigh or measure.
The deeper layer

The One's darbaar, its presence, is the highest of the high; its limit cannot be told, for it has none. Gahir gambheer athaah — deep, profound, unfathomable — and atul, unweighable. Measuring such a One is beyond the question; there is only wonder.

A Question to Sit With

What is something so big or deep that trying to measure it feels almost funny?
