ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
too kartaa tayraa sabh kee-aa.
You are the Creator; all is created by You.
ਤੁਝੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਆ ॥
tujh bin avar na ko-ee bee-aa.
Without You, there is no other at all.
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਤਨਾ ॥੧੪॥
aad maDh ant parabh toohai sagal pasaaraa tum tanaa. ||14||
You alone, God, are in the beginning, the middle and the end. You are the root of the entire expanse. ||14||

The One is there at the start, all the way through, and at the end — the root of everything.
The One is kartaa, the Creator; all is created by it, and nothing exists apart. It is present in the aad, madh, and ant — the beginning, middle, and end — the root from which the whole expanse grows. The One is named as the single stem beneath everything.
