ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
jamdoot tis nikat na aavai.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
saaDhsang har keertan gaavai.

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਾ ॥੧੫॥
sagal manorath taa kay pooran jo sarvanee parabh kaa jas sunaa. ||15||
All desires are fulfilled, for one who listens with his ears to the Praises of God. ||15||

Death's messenger does not even come near
the one who sings the praise of the One in the Sangat.
Every wish is fulfilled for the one who listens, with open ears, to the praise of the One.
Sing the praise of the One in the Sangat, and every wish is filled.
The one who sings kirtan in the saadh sangat is beyond the reach of the jamdoot, the Messenger of Death. Every manorath, every deep wish, is fulfilled for the one who listens (Suniai) to the praise of the One. The raag's death-note is met calmly.
