Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Wherever I turn my eyes, I meet the One, an ocean of calm.
This treasure is never used up; it is a storehouse of jewels that stays full.
No one can grab hold of the One or find the edges; the One is known when the One gives grace.
Wherever I look, I see the One, and the One's treasure never runs out.
Jat kat paykha-o parabh sukh saagar — wherever I look, I see God, an ocean of peace. Har tot bhandaar naahee — the One's storehouse never runs low. It is ratnaagar, a mine full of jewels.
Think of a spring in the hills. People fill buckets all day, and the water keeps coming. It is not like a jar of cookies that empties.
Then the verse says the One is agah agaah. That means you cannot grab hold of the One, and you cannot find the bottom. No one can measure the edges. The One is understood by the one who receives kirpangnaa, kindness and grace. It is a gift that is given, not a prize that is earned.
What is something good in your life that only grows when you give it away?
