In plain words

The One who never fades, who lives deep inside everything and knows every heart.

People have called this One by so many names, in so many stories: the one who lifts up mountains, the one who plays a flute so sweetly that the whole world stops to listen.

All those names are just different ways of reaching toward the same wonder.

Behind every beautiful name for the divine is the same single wonder.
The deeper layer

A garland of names from the great Indian stories begins here, each one a loving way of pointing at the same One.

MaDhusoodan, daamodar and rikheekays are old names of Krishna. GovarDhan Dhaaree is the one who held up a mountain to shelter his people, and murlee manohar is the flute-player who charms every heart. Antarjaamee means the inner-knower, the One who reads every heart. Every name is honored.

A Question to Sit With

What are some different names you have heard people use for the divine?
