The One wears a garland of flowers and has eyes like lotuses.
The earrings, the crown and the flute are so beautiful.
The One holds the conch, the discus and the club. The One is the great charioteer, who stays right beside the Sangat.
The One is beautiful beyond words, and stays close beside the Sangat.
These are images long loved in stories of Krishna. There is a banmaalaa, a garland of forest flowers. There are kamal nain, eyes like lotus flowers. There are earrings, a crown and a flute. The One also holds a conch shell, a discus and a club. These are named, but the verse does not dwell on them as weapons.
The warmest words come last: mahaa saarthee satsangaa. The One is the great charioteer, the driver who stays with the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna drives Arjuna's chariot. Think of a trusted coach who rides the bus with the team. The One travels with the Sangat.
