ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਾਦਰ ਕਰਣ ਕਰੀਮਾ ॥
kudrat kaadar karan kareemaa.
The Creator Lord has Creative Power; the Merciful Lord has Mercy.
ਸਿਫਤਿ ਮੁਹਬਤਿ ਅਥਾਹ ਰਹੀਮਾ ॥
sifat muhabat athaah raheemaa.
The Praises and the Love of the Merciful Lord are unfathomable.
ਹਕੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਖੁਦਾਇਆ ਬੁਝਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੰਦਿ ਖਲਾਸ ਤਰਾ ॥੧੫॥੩॥੧੨॥
hak hukam sach khudaa-i-aa bujh naanak band khalaas taraa. ||15||3||12||
Realize the True Hukam, the Command of the Lord, O Nanak; you shall be released from bondage, and carried across. ||15||3||12||

The Maker holds every power, and the Merciful One holds endless mercy.
The praise and the love of that One run deeper than we can measure.
Nanak says, understand the true Command of the One, and you are set free from every bond and carried across.
Understanding how things flow is itself a kind of freedom.
Understanding 'hak hukam sach', the true Hukam, the flow of existence, brings release ('band khalaas'). The Islamic words of this Solhe arrive at the same Ik Onkar homecoming as every other hymn in the raag.
