Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The One gladly forgives those who face toward the Guru, and they melt into the Naam.
They are drawn into loving service, and they carry the Guru's Word like a bright mark of belonging.
In this life and beyond it they are free. Blessed, blessed are the Guru's people who serve the One; I would gladly give myself for them.
Turning to face the Guru, the heart becomes beautiful and free.
The fourth Pauree (||4||). The Gurmukh (one who faces the Guru) is beautiful and renowned in the True Court. 'I am a sacrifice to them' — humility bows low before those who serve.
