The Treasure That Never Runs Empty

pa-orhee.
Pauree:
is jug meh naam niDhaan hai naamo naal chalai.
In this age, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the treasure. Only the Naam goes along in the end.
ayhu akhut kaday na nikhuta-ee khaa-ay kharchi-o palai.
It is inexhaustible; it is never empty, no matter how much one may eat, consume or spend.
har jan nayrh na aavee jamkankar jamkalai.
The Messenger of Death does not even approach the humble servant of the Lord.
say saah sachay vanjaari-aa jin har Dhan palai.
They alone are the true bankers and traders, who have the wealth of the Lord in their laps.
har kirpaa tay har paa-ee-ai jaa aap har ghalai. ||15||
By the Lord's Mercy, one finds the Lord, only when the Lord Himself sends for him. ||15||

In plain words

In this age the Naam is the treasure, and it is the Naam that goes with you in the end.

You can draw on it endlessly and it never empties, no matter how much you use.

The fear of death cannot even come near the one who serves the One; such people are the rich ones, carrying the wealth of the One in their lap.

The one treasure that never empties is the only one worth carrying.
The deeper layer

The fifteenth Pauree (||15||). The Naam is inexhaustible wealth: spend it, share it, and it never runs low. Death does not even come near the one who serves the One. And the Naam is found when the One 'sends for' the seeker; grace begins the meeting.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you can give and give and never run out of?
