O my Beloved, only You know my objective; I stand, waiting to see the Lord's face. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Nanak says: I sit and wait for news of You, and I stand ready at Your door.

You alone know what my heart is reaching for; I am still here, watching for Your face.

Sometimes love just waits, trusting it is understood.
The deeper layer

The patience of longing: the soul stands and waits, trusting that the One knows its deepest wish even before it speaks.

A Question to Sit With

What is something worth waiting patiently for?
