Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My silly, sleepy soul, why are you too lazy to serve?

So much time has already passed — when will a chance like this come around again?

The chance in front of you now may not wait forever.
The deeper layer

The 'foolish soul' is spoken to kindly, the way you might nudge a friend who keeps hitting snooze. This moment is precious, and the nudge comes with kindness.

A Question to Sit With

What is one good thing you have been putting off?
