Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The jewel that was hidden all along has been found, shining right where I could not see it.

Nanak says: beautiful and bright is that inner place where You live.

The best treasure was hidden in the one place you forgot to look — inside.
The deeper layer

The 'jewel on the forehead' is the treasure of the One, discovered within. Beautiful is the heart where the Beloved is found to dwell.

A Question to Sit With

What is a treasure that is not made of money?
