I wandered around in such a miserable state, but when I saw You, my mind was comforted and consoled. ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I am so eager to see You — what does Your face even look like?
I wandered a long while feeling lost, but the moment I saw You, my heart was comforted.
Feeling lost ends the moment you see the one you were looking for.
A Dakhanay shalok of longing and relief. The wandering is not punished; it simply ends in comfort the instant the Beloved is seen.
A Question to Sit With
When did seeing someone you missed make everything feel okay?
