I have searched everywhere for the King over the heads of kings.

That Master is within my heart; I chant His Name with my mouth. ||1||

In plain words

I searched everywhere for the King who is above every king.

And that One was inside my own heart all along; now I speak the Name with joy.

The greatest One of all was waiting in your own heart.
The deeper layer

A Dakhanay shalok. The grand search ends in the smallest, nearest place — one's own heart. True royalty is inward.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you searched far for that was close by?
