If You place Your foot on me, I blossom forth like the lotus flower. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I have made myself a seat for my Beloved to rest upon.

Rest Your weight on me, and I open wide like a lotus in the sun.

Deep trust opens you up like a flower to the sun.
The deeper layer

A Dakhanay shalok. Complete welcome and trust: the soul flowers open under the Beloved's touch, the way a lotus opens to light. Surrender pictured as blossoming, not loss.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel safe enough to fully be yourself?
