Found in Natural Ease

ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਬੈਰਾਗੀਅੜੇ ॥
karam hovai satgur milai bairaagee-arhay.
When God grants His Grace, one meets the True Guru, O renunciate,
ਸਹਜੇ ਪਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ਵਣਾਹੰਬੈ ॥੭॥
sehjay paavai so-ay vanaahambai. ||7||
and automatically, intuitively finds that Lord. ||7||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When grace comes, you meet the Guru, O seeker,

and then you find the One with natural ease.

Grace brings you to the Guru, and the One is found with ease.
The deeper layer

Karam hovai satgur milai: when grace comes, you meet the True Guru. Karam here means grace, the One's kindness.

Sehjay paavai so-ay: then you find the One in sahaj. Sahaj means natural, easy calm. It is how a leaf floats down a stream without fighting the water.

A soul in sahaj has stopped fighting itself. It arrives without strain.

A Question to Sit With

When has something you worked at finally come easily once you stopped straining?
