Sudama's Lord and Master blessed him with the nine treasures; he made Dhroo permanent and unmoving; as the north star, he still hasn't moved. ||3||

In plain words

The Lord gave Ambreek a place without fear, and made Bhabhikhan a king.

The Master gave Sudama the nine treasures, and set Dhroo firm as the North Star; he still has not moved.

The One meets you exactly where you feel poor and makes you rich there.
The deeper layer

Four devotees from old stories were each lifted up from a different lack.

Ambreek was a king who was given abhai pad, a fearless heart. Bhabhikhan (Vibhishana) was raised up to become a king. Sudaamaa was Krishna's poor friend, and the One gave him na-o nidh, the nine treasures. Dhroo-a (Dhruva) was a child whose love was so steady that he became the North Star. He is fixed in place and still does not move.

The pattern is the heart of the song. The One meets each person right where they are poor, and makes them rich right there. Think of a coach who gives the nervous player courage, the new kid a spot, and the tired kid a rest. Each gets exactly what was missing.

A Question to Sit With

Where in your life do you feel small — and what might it look like to be lifted?
