Tell me Your story, and through the Guru's teaching let it settle into my heart.
Speak it, fortunate ones - it lifts you to the highest, most peaceful place. In the hearts that face the Guru, trust grows, and through the perfect Guru they melt into the Naam.
Tell me Your story, until it settles in my heart.
Har har kathaa means the story of the One. Gurmat means the Guru's teaching. Through that teaching, the story sinks deep. Har ridai samaanee — the One comes to live in the heart.
Utam pad nirbaanee means the highest, stillest place, a peace where all the rushing stops. Taking in the story lifts a person there.
Gurmukhaa man parteet hai — those who face the Guru have trust in their minds. A Gurmukh is someone who turns toward the Guru. What grows is trust, not just agreeing with an idea. Think of a bedtime story you have heard a hundred times. You do not just know it. It makes you feel safe.
What is a story that stayed with you and changed how you feel?
