In plain words

The One grew kind to His servant and made both this world and the next go well.

Nanak says, blessed is that servant, and full of meaning is his coming - the one who came to know the One who holds it all.

A life spent knowing the One is a life full of meaning.
The deeper layer

Blessed is the one who comes to know the One who holds it all.

Bha-i-o kirpaal thaakur — the Master has become kind. The One makes things go well halat palaataa, in this world and in the next.

Dhan sayvak — blessed is that servant. Safal oh aa-i-aa — their coming into the world has borne fruit. It means their life has real meaning, because they came to know their Master.

Think of a seed that grows into a tree full of fruit. Its whole life came to something good. Nanak signs this last verse with his own name. He closes the shabad on that note of blessing.
