In plain words

The One who knows every heart understands it all - nothing can be hidden from Him.

This body is fragile and passing, here for only a little while.

Nothing is hidden from the One who knows every heart.
The deeper layer

The One who lives in every heart knows everything, and this body is only here for a while.

Antarjaamee means "the Knower within." The One sees inside every heart. Tis tay kahaa dulaari-o: "what can anyone hide from Him?"

Think of a mom who knows you ate the cookie before you say a word. The crumbs are on your shirt. You cannot really hide it, and you do not need to.

Then the verse gives a stark old picture of how quickly the body ends. The meaning underneath is simple. This body is fragile. It is here for only a little while.

That is not meant to scare us. It is meant to make us tender. Since our time is short, it is precious. And since the One already knows our hearts, we can simply be honest.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you feel you can be fully honest about with yourself?
