The Seed Planted Out of Season

Maaroo, Fifth Mehl:
jisahi saaj nivaaji-aa tiseh si-o ruch naahi.
You feel no love for the One who created and embellished you.
The seed, planted out season, does not germinate; it does not produce flower or fruit. ||1||

In plain words

It is easy to forget to turn toward the One who made you and shaped you with such care.

But a seed dropped in the wrong season won't sprout — no flower, no fruit. Some things only grow when we plant them at the right time.

Some good things only grow when we plant them at the right time.
The deeper layer

A farming picture: the Naam is a seed, the heart is a field, and timing matters. A seed sown out of season bears nothing, so plant while the season is good.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you know is worth starting now, not later?
