Maaroo, Fifth Mehl:
ਫੂਟੋ ਆਂਡਾ ਭਰਮ ਕਾ ਮਨਹਿ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥

The egg of doubt has burst; my mind has been enlightened.
ਕਾਟੀ ਬੇਰੀ ਪਗਹ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਬੰਦਿ ਖਲਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
kaatee bayree pagah tay gur keenee band khalaas. ||1||
The Guru has shattered the shackles on my feet, and has set me free. ||1||

The shell of doubt that wrapped my mind has cracked wide open, and light poured in.
The Guru cut the chains from my feet and set me free.
Doubt can crack open, and light can pour in.
Footo aandaa bharam kaa — the egg of doubt bursts, and light fills the mind. The Guru cuts the chains from the feet, and the one who was held walks free.
