When Death places the noose around my neck, then I lose all my senses.

Now, in this disaster, other than the Name of the Lord, who will be my help and support? ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
When the very last part of the journey comes and everything familiar slips away, what will still be with me?
Only the One I kept in my heart. Nothing else can travel that far beside me, so I will make that friendship strong now, while I can.
Build the friendship that lasts, and the ending loses its fear.
At the last part of the journey, when everything familiar slips away, the Naam is the one companion who stays all the way. So it is worth treasuring now.
A Question to Sit With
What do you hope stays with you no matter what?
