ਸਾਚੈ ਬੈਸਣੁ ਉਠਣਾ ਸਚੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਭਾਖਿਆ ॥
saachai baisan uth-naa sach bhojan bhaakhi-aa.
In Truth I sit and stand; I eat and speak the Truth.
ਚਿਤਿ ਸਚੈ ਵਿਤੋ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖਿਆ ॥
chit sachai vito sachaa saachaa ras chaakhi-aa.
With Truth in my consciousness, I gather the wealth of Truth, and drink in the sublime essence of Truth.
ਸਾਚੈ ਘਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਰਖੇ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥੫॥
saachai ghar saachai rakhay gur bachan subhaakhi-aa. ||5||
In the home of Truth, the True Lord protects me; I speak the Words of the Guru's Teachings with love. ||5||

Sitting down, standing up, eating, speaking: I want all of it soaked in what is true.
Truth becomes my treasure and my drink, my home and my shelter. Safe there, I speak the Guru's words with love.
Let Truth soak into the small ordinary moments, and it becomes home.
Truth is the whole environment of daily life (saachai baisan uthnaa, sach bhojan), echoing the vision of Truth as food and home. Saachai ghar saachai rakhe: protected in the home of Truth. Sach is the very material of living.
