In plain words

There comes a day when the visit is over and it is time to move on. That is simply how the journey works.

If my heart feels tangled in its mistakes, I do not have to carry that weight alone. The perfect Guru gently forgives every stumble of the one who comes with open, empty hands.

Moving on is how the journey works; every stumble can be set down.
The deeper layer

One day every visit here ends, and it is time to move on.

Hukam bha-i-aa rahnaa nahee — the order has come, and you cannot stay. Dhur faatay cheerai — the permit to stay has been torn up. Hukam means the One's will, the way life flows. In Raag Maaroo, leaving this life is often pictured as going home. Think of the end of a long summer visit at a grandparent's house. The bags get packed, and it is time to go.

Ayhu man avgan baadhi-aa — the mind is tied up in its faults, and the body feels the pain of it. But there is hope. Poorai gur bakhsaa-ee-ah sabh gunah fakeerai — the Perfect Guru forgives every mistake of the fakeer at the door. A fakeer is a beggar, someone who comes with empty hands.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you let go of a mistake instead of carrying it?
