Travel Light, Carry Only Truth

ਹਿਕਨੀ ਲਦਿਆ ਹਿਕਿ ਲਦਿ ਗਏ ਹਿਕਿ ਭਾਰੇ ਭਰ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
hiknee ladi-aa hik lad ga-ay hik bhaaray bhar naal.
Some are getting on board, and some have already set out; some are weighed down with their loads.
ਜਿਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਿਆ ਸੇ ਸਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੭॥
jinee sach vananji-aa say sachay parabh naal. ||7||
Those who deal in Truth, remain with their True Lord God. ||7||

In plain words

Some are just climbing aboard, some have already set off, and some are weighed down with heavy loads they did not need.

The ones who carry only Truth travel light — and they stay close to the One the whole way.

Travel light: the one thing worth carrying is Truth.
The deeper layer

Travel light, and carry only Truth.

Hiknee ladi-aa hik lad ga-ay — some are loading, some have gone, some are bhaaray, weighed down with heavy loads. Jinee sach vananji-aa — those who deal in Truth carry what lasts, and say sachay parabh naal, they remain with the True One. What we carry inside sets the ease of the journey.

A Question to Sit With

If you could only pack a few things for a long trip, what would matter most to bring?
