In plain words

When the sharp blade cuts the tree, the tree holds no anger in its heart.

It even helps the one who cut it, and never blames him at all.

There is a quiet strength in that: to keep giving, and to let go of hurt.

Giving without keeping a grudge takes a quiet kind of strength.
The deeper layer

Man na keeno ros — the tree feels no anger. It serves without resentment, a picture of a heart carrying no ill-will. It leads a whole procession of natural things (tree, earth, sky, sun, wind, fire) that all give freely and evenly, teaching the mind to do the same.

A Question to Sit With

When someone hurts you, what would it feel like to let the anger go?
