You Yourself make them stray, and You teach them again.

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When I lose my way, You are the One who sets me gently back on the path.

Somehow even my wandering is part of the teaching, and You always call me home again.

I cannot see anything as precious as Your Name, for it is where every good thing comes from.

Even my wandering can be part of the way home.
The deeper layer

Straying and being brought back are one loving movement, with no shame for the wanderer. The Naam is the source of all worth (gat mit).

A Question to Sit With

When you have lost your way about something, what helped you find it again?
