In plain words

Through the Guru's grace you come to sense the Hukam, the way life moves.

You begin to see how the ages turn and how everything belongs to the One.

Nanak says: say the Naam, and swim across. The True One carries you over every hard water.

Keep the Naam close, and you are carried gently across.
The deeper layer

Hukam, the flow of existence, is understood through the Guru's grace; the Naam is kept close; and the True One, taarnhaaraa, carries the soul across. The quiet before creation and the single human life meet here in one word: home.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel carried when the way ahead looks hard?
