The Endless One, Found by Following the Word

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕੋ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥

God is endless; following the Guru's Teachings, some find Him.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨ ਕਉ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿ ॥
gur kai sabad man ka-o samjhaavahi.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they instruct their minds.

satgur kee banee sat sat kar maanhu i-o aatam raamai leenaa hay. ||14||
Accept as True, Perfectly True, the Word of the True Guru's Bani. In this way, you shall merge in the Lord, the Supreme Soul. ||14||

In plain words

The One has no end and no edge, yet following the Guru's wisdom, some do find it.

Through the Guru's Word, they quietly teach and settle their own minds.

Accept the True Guru's Bani as true, completely true, and you melt back into the great One — the way a drop rejoins the sea.

Trust the true Word, and you melt back into the One like a drop into the sea.
The deeper layer

Parabh bay-ant — the One is endless, and still found through gurmat, the Guru's wisdom. Accepting the Bani as sat sat, true and true again, leads to merging in aatam raamai, the One within — the drop rejoining the ocean.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to be part of something much bigger than yourself?
