Restrain your restless mind within its own home, and the Lord, the Destroyer, shall destroy your pain. ||16||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Love the One with a devoted heart, dear friends.
Speak the words too deep for words, and your mind melts back into the great Mind.
Settle your restless mind gently at home inside you, and the One quietly dissolves your pain away.
When the restless mind rests at home, pain quietly dissolves.
Akath kathahu — speak the unspoken, the wordless praise — and the mind merges back into the great Mind. Holding the mind that gets up to run (uth chaltaa) in its own home lets the One cut away dukh (pain). Devotion does the settling.
A Question to Sit With
What is a wordless feeling too big or deep for you to fully say out loud?
