Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Those who serve the True Guru are the noblest of all.
Deep inside every heart, they come to recognize the One.
Nanak says: bless me with the praise of the One and the Sangat of the One's people — through the True Guru, they have come to know the One.
Praise and the Sangat are the two gifts that lead us home together.
Two gifts are asked for: har jas (the praise of the One) and har jan kee sangat, the Sangat of the One's people. Those who serve the True Guru are pardhaanaa (honoured), and they recognize the One in every heart.
The Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One — is where hearts come to know the One together.
