ਪਸਰੀ ਕਿਰਣਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਉਜਿਆਲਾ ॥
pasree kiran jot uji-aalaa.
The rays of Divine Light have spread out their brilliant radiance.
ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
kar kar daykhai aap da-i-aalaa.
Having created the creation, the Merciful Lord Himself gazes upon it.
ਅਨਹਦ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਧੁਨਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਇਦਾ ॥੯॥
anhad run jhunkaar sadaa Dhun nirbha-o kai ghar vaa-idaa. ||9||
The sweet, melodious, unstruck sound current vibrates continuously in the home of the fearless Lord. ||9||

The light of the One has spread out and made everything glow.
Having made all this, the kind One watches over it with love.
And in that fearless, peaceful place, a music plays all by itself, a sound no one had to strike, humming on forever.
In the quiet inside you, a music is always playing.
The 'anhad naad' is the unstruck sound-current, the inner music of awareness that plays without any instrument. It sounds in 'the home of the fearless One' (nirbhau), echoing the Mool Mantar.
