O Nanak, know this, through the Guru's Teachings, and lovingly focus yourself on the Lord's Name. ||10||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The one who plays this sweet flute is the one who has come to know all the worlds within.
Nanak says: understand it this way, through the Guru's wisdom,
and keep your love resting gently on the Naam of the One.
Sweet music comes from deep understanding.
Tribhavan (the three worlds) points to a knowing that reaches everywhere. The sweet flute is the sound of deep understanding, sustained by love resting on the Naam (liv laa-i-aa).
