O Nanak, one who has such destiny inscribed on his forehead, is blessed with the dust of the feet of the Holy; the Lord carries him across. ||4||2||

In plain words

All the creatures of Your world, O my Master, long for the dust of the feet of the holy.

Nanak says: whoever has it written on their forehead receives the dust of the feet of the holy, and the One carries them across.

When the moment is ripe, the blessing you have longed for arrives.
The deeper layer

All of creation longs for the dust of holy people's feet, and the One carries us across.

Jitnee sarisat tumree mayray su-aamee: all the living beings of your world, my Master, long for the dust of the holy. Sarisat means the whole creation.

Then, in the line signed Nanak, the blessing comes to the one who has it written on the forehead, lilaat. That is an old way of speaking of destiny: the right moment, like fruit that ripens when it is ready. Then the One paar langhaa-ee, carries us across. Think of a friend holding your hand across a busy street to the other side.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you are waiting for that you trust will come at the right time?
