Every Creature's Song

jo bolat hai marig meen pankhayroo so bin har jaapat hai nahee hor. ||3||
Whatever the deer, the fish and the birds sing, they chant to the Lord, and no other. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whatever the deer, the fish and the birds sing, they are calling to the One, and to no other.

Every living voice, in its own language, is singing to the same One.
The deeper layer

Every creature's voice is a song to the same One.

Jo bolat hai marig meen pankhayroo means whatever the deer, the fish and the birds say. So bin har jaapat hai nahee hor: they call to the One, and to no other.

A deer's call, a bird's chirp, a splash in the stream. Each sounds different, yet all of it is one song. It is like a stadium where every fan cheers in a different way, all for the same team. This is Ik Onkar, the One Creator, heard as sound. Every voice, in its own language, turns toward the same Source.

A Question to Sit With

If every creature's sound is a kind of song, what might yours be singing?
