Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind and body are dyed in the pure Naam, and I am lovingly tuned to the One's lotus feet.

Nanak says: the One has made me its own. I am the One's servant, and I have come to its shelter.

Let what's good soak all the way through you, down past the surface.
The deeper layer

Let the pure Naam dye you all the way through, and you belong to the One.

Man tan naam niranjan raata-o: mind and body dyed in the spotless Naam, like cloth soaked in a color that never washes out. Charan kamal liv laa-i-aa: lovingly tuned to the One's lotus feet.

Angeekaar kee-o parabh apnai: the One has made me its own, a belonging given as a gift. Naanak daas sarnaa-i-aa: the servant asks only to stay in that shelter. The rain has soaked the once-dry ground all the way through.

A Question to Sit With

What good habit or love has soaked deep into who you are?
