In plain words

The Guru is my life; the Guru is what holds me up.

The Guru is my way of living; the Guru is my family.

The Guru is my Master; I take shelter with the True Guru.

Nanak says: the Guru is the Highest One, whose worth no one can measure.

The things worth most are exactly the ones you cannot put a price on.
The deeper layer

The Guru can be your whole life: your support, your everyday way, your family.

Gur mayree jeevan gur aadhaar: the Guru is my life and my support. Vartan is what you use every day, your way of living. Parvaar is family. The Guru is woven into ordinary days, close as home. Gur paarbarahm: the Guru is one with the Highest One. Keem na paa-ee: no one can put a price on it.

A Question to Sit With

What in your life is priceless — impossible to trade for anything?
