Chant the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, day and night. You shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desires. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

O my mind, praise the perfect Guru.

Day and night, remember the Naam, the treasure, and you will receive what your heart wishes for.

Keep what is precious close, and your heart's wishes come home.
The deeper layer

Praise the perfect Guru and remember the Naam day and night, and your heart's wishes are answered.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the centre of the shabad. Gur pooraa saalaahi: praise the perfect Guru. Naam nidhaan is the Naam as a treasure-house. Man chinday fal are the fruits the heart wishes for. The deepest of those wishes, to be close to the One, is answered when the Naam is held close.
