My Eternal, Unmastered Lord is over the heads of all. He is the Destroyer of death and rebirth, doubt and fear. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You created all beings, and how each one lives is in Your hands. To those who turn to the Guru, You Yourself give the ointment of wisdom that clears their eyes.

My Lord lives forever, has no master, and is over everyone. The One ends the round of death and birth, and wipes away doubt and fear.

Clear seeing is the healing that quiets our deepest fears.
The deeper layer

The One made everything, holds it all, and clears your eyes with wisdom so that doubt and fear can go.

The Gurmukh, one who faces the Guru, receives anjan, the ointment of wisdom that clears the inner sight. The One is amar, deathless, and anaath, with no master, over all. Kaal bikaal bharam bhai khanjan: the One breaks the round of death and birth, and breaks doubt and fear.

A Question to Sit With

What fear gets smaller when you understand something clearly?
